OCR capture and note refinement
Photographing a page became a first-class way to start a note: text recognition runs on the capture and the result arrives editable, with a refinement pass over what was captured.
What's new
Capture text from the camera or photo library
Point the camera at a page or pick an existing photo, and the recognised text arrives in a note you can edit like any other.
A refinement pass over captured text
Recognised and transcribed text can be cleaned up into readable paragraphs rather than left as a raw block.
Improvements
- Recognition runs on the device on supported hardware, so the image does not have to leave it to become text.
- The captured image is kept with the note, so a recognised figure can be checked against the original.
Fixes
- Fixed cases where a refinement pass could leave the note in an inconsistent state if it was interrupted.
